A well detailed sculpture depicting the Trojan warriors final blow after the epic battle with the Trojan prince Paris.

Achilles knew from a prophecy that he must choose between a long, uneventful life without glory, or a short life with eternal fame.

This ancient Greek sculpture of Achilles, depicts the moment he gets struck by an arrow, that has pierced his heel, his only vulnerable point.

The original statue, was commissioned by the sixth Duke of Devonshire for Chatsworth House.
