Apollon Belvédère , un buste, d'après l'antique, italien, 1780.
Le dieu solaire Apollon, fils de Zeus et Léto, frère jumeau de la chaste chasseresse Diane.
Il était le dieu archer de la médecine et de la guérison, et en tant que chef des Muses, il est également le dieu de la musique et de la poésie.
Ce buste est issu d'une statue en marbre pleine, dite être l'œuvre de Léocharès, qui se trouve dans la grande collection du
35 cm de hauteur
Ordered two statues, one of Apollo and a sphinx. They are both absolutely stunning. My only complaint is with the shipping time which took quite a bit longer than anticipated, but, on the other hand, such beauty is well worth the wait. They are a perfect size for in my bookcase and on my desk.
I have had a few items from you at Sculptured Arts Studio in the past. Unfortunately my bust of Apollo Belvedere was damaged in an accident at home. I then found this beautiful work of art " Apollo Belvedere " medium size so I just had to order one to replace my first one.
As always with The Sculptured Arts Studio " the craftsmanship is pure decadence,stunning detail,very well and safely packaged as well as being delivered when told. ***** ***** ***** ***** for all of my busts sculptured by you, EXCELLENT.
