Apollon von Belvedere , Büste nach der Antike, italienisch, 1780.
Der Sonnengott Apollon, Sohn von Zeus und Leto, Zwillingsbruder der keuschen Jägerin Diana.
Er war der Bogenschützengott der Medizin und Heilung und als Anführer der Musen ist er auch der Gott der Musik und Poesie.
Diese Büste stammt von einer Marmorstatue, die angeblich das Werk von Leochares ist und sich in der großen Sammlung des
35 cm groß
Ordered two statues, one of Apollo and a sphinx. They are both absolutely stunning. My only complaint is with the shipping time which took quite a bit longer than anticipated, but, on the other hand, such beauty is well worth the wait. They are a perfect size for in my bookcase and on my desk.
I have had a few items from you at Sculptured Arts Studio in the past. Unfortunately my bust of Apollo Belvedere was damaged in an accident at home. I then found this beautiful work of art " Apollo Belvedere " medium size so I just had to order one to replace my first one.
As always with The Sculptured Arts Studio " the craftsmanship is pure decadence,stunning detail,very well and safely packaged as well as being delivered when told. ***** ***** ***** ***** for all of my busts sculptured by you, EXCELLENT.
