Die Lions, ein Paar.
Die berühmten Marmorlöwen wurden ursprünglich vom Bildhauer Antonio Canova für das Rezzonico-Denkmal in Italien geschaffen.
Ein weiteres Paar Löwen, genaue Kopien der Originale, wurden dann 1823 vom 6. Herzog von Devonshire für Chatsworth House in Auftrag gegeben.
Der schlafende Löwe wurde von Rinaldo Rinaldi geschaffen.
Der hockende Löwe wurde von Francesco Benaglia hergestellt und wiegt jeweils 3,5 Tonnen.

The lions have great quality and attention to detail. Highly recommend.
They're absolutely gorgeous! I've had the small version for decades, but these new ones manage to make me turn my head every time I pass them!
The Lions pair
At the Bournemouth War Memorial there are two very similar lions I fell in love with during our first stay a long time ago (we are from Germany). So I was really happy to find these beautiful sculptures here, they just look great. Excellent quality, fast and well packaged delivery. Thank you very much!
Just started to furnish a property in Bath. We bought these lions specifically to go on a relatively narrow topped fireplace surround. They fitted perfectly and look fabulous. Always admired the full sized original ones at Chatsworth.
