Another pair if Lions exact copies of the originals were then commissioned by the 6th Duke of Devonshire in 1823, for Chatsworth House.
The original sleeping Lion was made by Rinaldo Rinaldi.
The original Crouching Lion was made by Francesco Benaglia, each weighing 3.5 tonnes each.
Size. 31 cm long x 10 cm wide x 15 cm tall.

The lions have great quality and attention to detail. Highly recommend.
They're absolutely gorgeous! I've had the small version for decades, but these new ones manage to make me turn my head every time I pass them!
The Lions pair
At the Bournemouth War Memorial there are two very similar lions I fell in love with during our first stay a long time ago (we are from Germany). So I was really happy to find these beautiful sculptures here, they just look great. Excellent quality, fast and well packaged delivery. Thank you very much!
