Lucius Verus Miniture+

Lucius Verus, Roman Emperor, a bust, 130-169 AD.

This Very small marble bust of Lucius Verus, after the antique, depicts him as the noble commander of the Roman armies, having destroyed the Parthian empire & the Armenian kingdom. 

The original was unearthed in excavations, and is now housed in the Louvre museum, and a fine marble copy from the Grand Tour, is housed in the Chatsworth House Sculpture collection.
