An exact miniaturised version of the original marble sculptures from antiquity, by Sculptured Arts Studio.
The Lions guarded the steps to the Villa Medici, Italy. The first lion is an ancient Roman sculpture (2nd century AD), while the second was sculpted by Flaminio Vacca in 1590–1598, commissioned by Ferdinando I de' Medici as a match.
The pair were then moved to their present location at Loggia Dei Lanzi, in 1799.
Made by Sculptured Arts studio, from the finest dry cast Carrara marble, hand made in Staffordshire, England. A fantastic interior touch, especially on a fireplace or console table.
Size.23 cm tall. Base size is 36 x 13.5. W 6 kg each.
