Plato, 450 BC, was a philosopher and mathematician, and founder of the academy in Athens, the first institution of higher learning in the western world.
His mentor was Socrates, and his student was Aristotle, he is credited with laying the foundations of western Philosophy and science, he was also a wrestler.
We were looking for something of a light colour to feature in a dark corner on top of a chest-on-chest. We had bought various pieces from Sculptures Arts Studio before, so we were delighted to find a bust of the scale that we needed. Plato arrived extremely well packed, secure and in a timely manner.
